Marginalised and Vulnerable Adult Service
Descriptions
Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group and West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group are seeking to re-commission a contract for the Marginalised and Vulnerable Adults Service (MVA); the redesigned service is due to start in February 2017 after a tender process has identified a preferred provider(s). The MVA Service currently provides specialist health advice and support to a range of groups including homeless, refugees, migrant workers, ex-prisoners, Gypsies and Travellers, and Roma Communities providing a key link with Primary Care practices within the CCG areas (excluding Waveney). In addition, the Service works with a range of statutory and third sector organisations to address health inequalities faced by marginalised and vulnerable population groups, some with significant health needs; this includes local authorities, acute hospitals, mental health, third Sector, community organisations and other local health and social care providers. The redesigned service is due to start in February 2017 and is expected to be worth in the region of £800,000 per annum. You are invited to attend an exciting market engagement and partnership building session on the afternoon of 19th January 2016. The event offers an opportunity for anyone wishing to be involved in this new service to meet with commissioners to hear about the current service and to discuss the proposed model and vision for the future service. This event is for all organisations with an interest in mental health and wellbeing regardless of whether your organisation is based within the acute/hospital sector or the community and voluntary sectors. We would like to invite potential lead providers, sub-contractors, service partners and interested parties to share how you can contribute to achieving improved outcomes for clients within the MVA service. The session will also provide an opportunity for networking with other providers and interested parties to help start building relationships for the future and encourage new partnerships that could deliver a diverse, inclusive and responsive network of provision. Attendance is open to any organisations / individuals experienced in caring for marginalised groups or who interact with these services to help improve the lifestyles of the MVA clients. If your organisation would like to set up a display stand to inform other providers on your current service provision please contact Jane Garnett as soon as possible as there is limited space for displays. Please register your attendance by contacting jane.garnett@suffolk.nhs.uk; and you will receive an outline agenda including the venue and pre-questionnaire which is designed to help facilitate the event.
