The Council is looking to develop a model that will deliver affordable home ownership on a significant portion of its extensive land holdings. The council is aware that there are many emerging models that provide truly affordable home ownership opportunities, but is keen to meet potential partners to hear about their models, both financing/tenure models and new types of construction (modular, shared space, etc.). The Council is also interested in how new technology might help with delivering low cost home ownership from alerts about opportunities to purchase low cost home ownership to weighing up financial options for our residents. The Council would like to invite potential partners to meet with Council officers to discuss their models or products to gain a better understanding of potential solutions, the most appropriate procurement approach, the capacity of the market to deliver the solution and highlight any possible risks or issues that may not have previously been considered.
