This PIN Notice is to notify interested parties of North Somerset Councils' (the Authority) future contract intentions when existing arrangements come to an end in March 2024.The Authority intends to put in place 3 contract arrangements.1. Single Provider Framework – Surfacing - 4 year term - estimated value of £14m2. Single Provider Framework – Surface Dressing - 4 year term - estimated value of £4.5m3. Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) – 3 lots – Civils, Structures and Specialist Surface Treatments - 7 year term - estimated value of £14mIt should be noted that Reactive and Cyclical maintenance does not form part of this PIN and has been awarded under Teckal exemptions to North Somerset Environment Company for an initial term of 7 years commencing 1 April 2024.At present, most of the Authority's highways maintenance activities are delivered through its existing Term Maintenance Contract which is due to expire in April 2024 and will be replaced with the new approach.The Authority is publishing this PIN to inform the market of its future intentions regarding the above and to seek feedback from the market to allow the Authority to consider its approach.A Market Engagement Event will be hosted online by representatives involved in the Highways Project on 8th March 2023.We intend to use a Microsoft Team Event.
