Market engagement prior to the procurement of a project to deliver a new Special School offering places for pupils aged 3 to 19.

The Authority is looking to engage with a contractor to design, build and fit-out a new school for children with severe learning difficulties, catering for a minimum of 110 children between 3 and 19 years old. The expectation is that the school will operate from a single site, and include a hydro pool, parking and a green space equivalent to that already provided. The site is located at DY8 5ST.The school will focus on the following outcomes:•Deliver strong education for pupils aged 3-19 years who have complex needs, severe learning difficulties, including autism and pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties•Deliver an appropriate level of attainment in line with each child's expected level recognising every child is different and clearly focusing on achieving their full potential•Deliver a holistic approach to driving the life and career chances for each child in line for preparing each child for adulthood
