Market Testing: Green Garden Waste

“The Isle of Anglesey County Council is currently reviewing its waste management options with regard to treating green garden waste over the coming years. Currently, green garden waste collected from domestic properties and household waste recycling centres is sent to an on-Island local authority partnership run PAS100 compliant in-vessel composting site, where it is treated in a closed tunnel followed by external maturation. Prior to deciding if it would like to consider undertaking a formal procurement process in the future for treating green garden waste, the Council wishes to carry out a market testing exercise to identify suitably experienced contractors to discuss the various green garden waste treatment options available in future. As part of this process, the Council wishes to discuss with interested parties proposals for potential working arrangements, delivery points, treatment options, required permissions, outputs, contract durations and indicative costs. The authority intends to hold interviews with interested contractors on either Wednesday the 7th of December or Thursday the 8th of December. Interest parties should email procurement@ynysmon.gov.uk with their date and time availability, who the company intends to send as representatives, and a brief description of the company and its experience.
