Job Title: Marketing Officer Rate of Pay: £17.06 Hours: 37 per week Location: Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre, Salters Lane, West Bromwich, B71 4BG Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: We are looking for a Marketing Officer to join our events team, and work to Celebrate Sandwell and help put us on the events and visitor experience map in the West Midlands. You will be experienced in social media use for marketing, have excellent skills in using digital technologies for marketing and promotion, and have an eye for detail and creativity. You will have experience of marketing concepts, managing design and contractor relationships for marketing, and an understanding of events and visitor services (museums, destination sites). Sandwell benefits from some prestigious event locations - from Sandwell Valley Country Park, with Sandwell Valley Showground, Dartmouth Park, and 8 other Green Flag Parks. Other venues range from museums to Lightwoods House and Park. You must hold a degree in Marketing or equivalent recognised qualification in Marketing. Or relevant experience that can demonstrate Marketing strategy, development, and delivery. Key Skills: Knowledge of marketing, market research or communications. Budget monitoring experience and the provision of management information. Experience of report writing. Experience of ICT packages. Experience of working with a range of different organisations. Knowledge of social media channels, content creation, and basic design skills. There is the opportunity for this role to work flexibly, with at least 2 days a week required on site in the borough. This post is 37 hours per week and falls inside IR35. Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and a copy of Terms and Conditions.
