Descriptions
The purpose of this exercise is to put a framework agreement in place with a number of suppliers for the provision Maintenance Services for Mechanical and Electrical Plant and Equipment and Building Fabric. The general types of services that this framework will cover include all or part of the following elements:— Planned Preventative Maintenance for all electrical, heating, air conditioning, water and ventilation systems— Response Maintenance for all electrical, heating, air conditioning, water and ventilation systems— Servicing and maintenance of specialist systems such as Fire Detection and Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Disabled Refuge Alarm, BMS— Provision of statutory certification and risk assessments— Safety Checks for gas, emergency lighting, security and fire systems— Lift / Hoist Maintenance— Catering Equipment Maintenance— Thermal Imaging of Distribution Boards— Automated / Motorised Door Maintenance— Lightning Protection Maintenance— Response Maintenance for building fabric components e.g. doors, windows, locks, shelving, furniture, partitions, ceilings, flooring— Plumbing works including maintenance, repair and operation of water, drainage and sewerage infrastructure and building systemsIt is a requirement of the Tender that the selected supplier(s) extend the terms to all eligible Institutions and Consortia, as defined by the CPC including further education colleges/institutions, universities, sixth forms, academies, schools, museums and other similar organisations.The tender is also available for Higher Education institutions via our colleagues in other Consortia. As per our joint contracting programme other bodies that could potentially be interested in accessing the agreement include NWUPC (North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium. CPC reserves the right during the period of this agreement to make additions to or subtractions from the list of participating Institutions and Consortia.Current and future members of the CPC are from the education sector, the majority of whom will be on the open access EduBase public portal:http://www.education.gov.uk/edubase/home.xhtmlThe framework has been established for an initial period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year period.Members have the right to utilise e-auctions during the further competition / call-off stage of supplier selection.
