Mentoring Support for Welsh Local Action Groups

The Wales Rural Network is required to prepare an Action Plan which includes support for Welsh Local Action Groups (LAGs) under Axis 4 of the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007 – 2013 (RDP) to engage in transnational co-operation projects with partners from other Member States across Europe. The European Commission proposes that support for transnational co-operation should involve LAGs having access to proactive expertise on the subject, including a list of experts and mentoring schemes for those who will be directly involved.The purpose of the contract is to establish a pilot Mentor Support scheme, as part of the Wales Rural Network, to trial the facilitation and support of LAGs in the development and management of transnational co-operation projects.It is the intention to award the contract no later than June 2010. The contract duration will run for a period of 12 months.The deadline date for return of tenders is Friday 23 April 2010.
