Mentors Supporting Young People at Risk of Permanent Exclusion
Descriptions
We require an organisation to manage the development of a mentoring programme for forty young people across eight Merseyside secondary schools with above-average exclusion rates. All potential mentees will be deemed at high risk of permanent exclusion and will self-identify as agreeing to the support package available. In return, they will receive intense mentoring therapeutic support with weekly face to face contact as a minimum. With the goal of preventing permanent exclusion, the sessions will focus on attainment, attendance, behaviours, well- being, peer group and community issues.
