Metal Hydride Heat Pump System

A test rig of metal hydride heat pump system is required to recover waste heat from a 20 kW Fuel Cell unit and produce 5kW cooling for space air conditioning. The metal hydride heat pump system can be also applied to other heat sources such as industrial waste heat and renewable energy. Initial research undertaken as part of FLEXIS programme at the University of South Wales has optimized waste management processing of fuel cell for space heating and cooling supported by lab-based analytics.
