Mobile Isotope Ratio Trace Gas Analysis Facility.
Descriptions
University of Aberdeen soil biogeochemistry lab requires a mobile isotope-ratio trace gas analysis facility which can be deployed in the natural environment, including remote locations with no power supply, to make continuous measurements of fluxes of N2O and their isotopologues, and fluxes of NH3. The vehicle should be out-fitted to make provision for inclusion of bench-top and rack-mounted analysers for measurement of concentrations of CO2 and CH4 derived from gases or from combustion of solid samples, and their 13C:12C ratios (see separate tender specification for this equipment). It should be mains powered with benching, include a fridge and sink, wi-fi access and be capable of capturing key climatic variables. The N2O and NH3 analysers should be rack-mounted but capable of being removed, and also be able to be fully integrated into commercially available automated soil gas chambers to permit regular measurements of greenhouse gases at different locations.
