Descriptions
Bournemouth Borough Council (“the lead authority”) invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified companies for the provision of a mobile telephone parking payment service with option to include an epermit solution and with the long term aspiration of reducing the number of pay and display machines required through offering an alternative cash payment service as set out in more detail in the Tender Documents.The service provider will be required to ensure customers can set up a parking session in a variety of ways to include payment by Interactive Voice Recognition, SMS, mobile web, smart phone and android app. A web site service and call centre operations will be required to support the service and the service provider must ensure their system integrates with current parking systems used by each contracting organisation.The service provider is required to allocate unique pay by phone location references to on and off street parking locations and supply, install and maintain signage about the system in all relevant locations. The system proposed must allow for expansion for future variations which may incorporate other areas of the organisations' service provision i.e. permit payments and cash payment option available via local retailers/outlets.The intention is for the named Councils within the Tender Document to contract directly with the successful tenderer through a Framework Agreement if they wish. However no guarantee can be given as regards the timing or extent of the take up of this provision. The Council's wishing to call off against the Framework Agreement in addition to Bournemouth Borough Council are Poole Borough Council, Dorset County Council, West Dorset District Council, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, Swanage Town Council, North Dorset District Council, Purbeck District Council, Lyme Regis Town Council, Wareham Town Council, Christchurch Borough Council, East Dorset District Council.
