Mock Examination Papers - Provision & Correction of Mock Examination Papers for all levels in LWETB Post Primary Schools
Descriptions
Longford & Westmeath Education and Training Board proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a multi-party framework agreement for the provision and correction of mock examination papers for all levels in LWETB schools and centres. In preparation for state examinations at all levels of post primary education, LWETB require suppliers who can to provide the following:1.At least one mock exam paper in more than one exam subject on the current curriculum2.Solution papers for each exam paper required.3.Answer booklets 4.Correction facility (if required) where available.Submission of papersWhen requested, successful suppliers will submit their mock exam electronically, and if successful, the required number of copies to be delivered in hard copy.Proposed LeadtimesIt is a requirement that suppliers are able to deliver the required papers in a two-week period. It is proposed that papers will be delivered during January. For corrections, if required, a turnaround of 14 days may be required.Correction of Papers (if required)Quality corrections by suitably qualified teachers or subject matter experts, which will be spot checked by the supplier for consistency of grading. If the school/centre is dissatisfied with the quality of the corrections, the supplier will re-correct and return scripts within one week of receipt of the exam papers at no additional cost to the school.Curriculum ChangesOver the duration of this requirement, the Department of Education will be piloting new subjects, so suppliers need to be aware that subjects may change over the next four years.Security of RequirementsIt is vitally important to LWETB that the mock exam papers are prepared in a secure environment so as not to allow for opportunities for review of papers prior to examination. The handover/ receipt of mock exam papers will be agreed with the successful supplier
