South West London Pathology, hosted by St. George's University Hospitals NHS Trust, intends to procure a contract for a molecular pathology managed equipment service (MES) (the Service) for the provision of a comprehensive end to end service to the, including (but not limited to) the procurement and supply of the following:— Reagent management / inventory, stock control, supply chain resilience;— Maintenance;— Initial training;— Full contract / lifelong training;— Super user training;— Middleware training;— Upgrades to software and technology;— In house account manager;— On site engineers / out of hours preventative maintenance;— Middleware / management of interfaces;— Estates enabling work / installation;— Process mapping and flow/Lean redesign consultancy;— Validation / commissioning documentation for accreditation visits;— Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's);— Customer / Technical support 24/7/365;— Equipment Refresh options available.The Primary discipline will be microbiology but the concept is to create a core molecular lab. Solutions must incorporate a lean methodology of working with a high degree of flexibility and automation. Innovative solutions are strongly encouraged.
