Caerphilly County Borough Council's Engineering Projects Group are seeking a suitable company to undertake the role of maintenance contractor on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.The work will involve routine maintainence works associated with the canal including: dredging, partial re-lining of the canal channel, works to the towpath and access controls features, repairs to canal structures and to provide rapid response support to deal with emerging emergency situation on the canal such as flooding, removal of debris/objects form the canal channel and fallen trees.An essential requirement for perspective contractors is that they are Construction Line registered, CHAS accredited and are able to demonstrate past experience of similar types of work, any expression of interest must be supported by evidence of companies registration/accreditation and experience.
