Mortgageable Standard Structural Component Replacement and Refurbishment for Precast Reinforced Concrete Non-traditional Properties:The Authority has a requirement to refurbish all precast reinforced concrete housing stock. All properties require extensive remedial and refurbishment work and are of PRC non-traditional construction to include but not be limited to types such as Unity, Hawksley and Cornish.In addition to refurbishment work for these properties the repair system required for the structural component replacement of these properties shall be designed:-·to allow the existing internal wall to remain in-situ thereby being less intrusive for residents,·so that it must also be able to be extended for the repair of flats,·so that it can be adapted to all non-traditional type properties,·so that upon completion of the repairs the houses MUST achieve a mortgageable standard.·To NTHAS (Non-Traditional Homes Appraisal Scheme) or equivalent standard.Expressions of interest are invited only from those contractors who can meet ALL of the above requirements. Contractors who can not meet the above requirements WILL NOT be required to respond to this notice.The estimated start date is April 2014 with a duration for a period of up to 5 years.
