The purpose of this PIN is to give advance notice that West Sussex County Council (WSCC) will shortly be issuing tenders relating to services of deceased persons where a death has been referred to H.M. Coroner including:— mortuary & post mortem facilities,— pathology services,— body removals,— body storage.Contracts are expected to commence on 23.1.2019 and run for a period of 7 years with the option to extend by a further 7 years subject to satisfactory services and continued demand. A market engagement day has been arranged as follows: Date: 5.3.2018 Time: to be arranged with interested suppliers Venue: West Sussex County Council, County Hall North, Chartway, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 1XA. This is an opportunity to understand supplier's ability & appetite to provide all or part of these services. We would like to draw on the ideas and expertise of suppliers to discuss what is being proposed prior to producing a specification and going out to tender. Please note that nonattendance to the market engagement day will not disqualify suppliers from participating in any future related tendering exercise.
