MSMCC2022 - Request for Tenders for the provision of Concession Catering Services to Meán Scoil Mhuire, Longford

Using Meán Scoil Mhuire, Longford’s dining hall and limited preparation area, the successful tenderer will be required to provide a comprehensive catering service to the school community. It is intended to award a contract to a single service provider. The School requires the provision of healthy, balanced and nutritious catering service to students at affordable prices. A high quality, flexible and responsive service is required combined with continuous improvement and innovation for the 33 weeks of the year on which the school operates (School calendar will be issued to the successful tenderer). This may include the days when state examinations take place. Users of the canteen will be mainly comprised from the student population but will include teaching and ancillary staff and authorized visitors to the school. The School welcomes all proposals on the selling of the food and beverages in the canteen however it should be noted that the menu must be in line with the School’s Healthy Eating Initiative to begin in September 2022. Special Offers and/or theme menus are also welcome to attract student’s interest. The service provider may also, with notice, be required to provide tea/coffee and/or light snacks for a small number of events that may arise from time to time out of the ‘normal’ hours associated with the school e.g. Staff Meetings, Board Meetings, Visiting groups, Student Graduations, Parent teacher meetings. The successful tenderer is required to view the site in advance of submitting a tender proposal. The site visit will allow you to propose upgrades or changes (fixtures and fittings) to the canteen/ kitchen area, operate and manage the canteen in the school from an estimated start date of 26th August 2022.(date TBC and will be subject to agreement with the Contracting Authority)
