Descriptions
The UKHO requires a range of storage, transport and multi-modal delivery services including freight forwarding, and express delivery, that will be called-off as and when required.The UKHO is seeking to appoint a single Prime Contractor who shall be responsible for all aspects of the contract. The Contractor may elect to sub-contract certain elements to a third party but the Contractor shall remain wholly responsible for the delivery of the Contract.The Requirements specified in the Invitation to Tender document represent the minimum service levels required and shall include, though not limited to:— Multi-modal delivery services, including overland, air and ocean freight, and express, both within the United Kingdom and world-wide using a single collection vehicle with daily timed collections;— Arranging the clearance and delivery of both outbound and inbound consignments (including pick-up from Consignor where required);— The facility to provide additional trailer(s) for use as temporary warehouse storage during periods of peak activity as required;— Providing dedicated vehicles where required;— Collections from third parties (including packaging where required);— Holding consignments to await collection by third party carriers;— The storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods, including receiving deliveries direct from UKHO suppliers.The requirements are expanded within the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document which can be received by registering free on the UK Hydrographic Office e-procurement portal Pro-Contract by following the link below:https://ukhocontracts.ukho.gov.uk/procontract/ukho/supplier.nsf/frm_home?openForm
