National Museums Liverpool Planetarium Upgrade

Bidders are asked to submit a formal tender for the Planetarium upgrade. The tender is for a complete planetarium system, including both hardware and software. The hardware should include modern projectors with a light unit life of 20,000 hours or more and an effective screen resolution of 4K. The software should be capable of playing pre-recorded shows and able to support live interactive shows when operated by a suitably trained member of staff. The system should not include a sound or room lighting system however it should interface with our installed sound and lighting systems via DMX using the sound matrix (dbx ZonePro 1261) supplied by NML and a Skylux compact DMX controller for the lighting also supplied by NML The solution must include a minimum of 5 years warranty, maintenance and support. The total budget available for the 5 year contract is £185,000. National Museums Liverpool are happy to act as a case study and/or referral site.
