NATO Film Collection: Digitisation of Film.

Preservation services of exhibits. Library, archives, museums and other cultural services. The NATO film collection comprises approx. 350 hours of film material taken in the late 1940 s through to the 1990 s. The collection includes documentaries, newsreel, and record footage in both 35 mm and 16 mm, colour and black and white film. The Contractor will be required to— liaise with the film preservation team based at IWM Duxford, led by the Film Digitisation Manager;— clean and where necessary prepare batches of films for digitisation;— ensure that the digitisation of the film is undertaken as per the specification to produce both high resolution masters (DPX) and access versions from both mute and sound films;— apply colour correction and grading to bring the digital copies up to acceptable viewing quality, and;— ensure that all film is transported and returned to IWM Duxford, in compliance with the methodology and procedures as identified by IWM.
