Neath Abbey: Replacement Boundary Fence & Access Gates

The contract will be undertaken at Neath Abbey, which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.Cadw intend replacing the existing boundary fencing and entrance gates of the site and custodial bungalow with a new metal design detailed to provide site security, improve the aesthetic appearance of the site and reduce maintenance.The total length of replacement fencing (subject to site confirmation) is approx. 425 metres.The existing fencing is to be carefully demounted and stockpiled for reclaim assessment by Cadw.The works will comprise:•Dismantling and removal of existing entrance gates and boundary fence.•Selective vegetation removal.•Possible removal of existing concrete kerbing at base of boundary fence.•Possible making good of footpath and or ground along the site boundary.•Installation of new metal entrance gates and boundary fence.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
