The award of this contract under the Negotiated Tendering Procedure under Regulation 33 (1) (b) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 and Standing Order 9.3.1 (b) of the Council’s Standing Orders on Contracts for the following reason: - The services can be supplied by only one suitable provider because competition is absent for technical reasons. The supplies can be supplied by only one suitable supplier because competition is absent for technical reasons. Karing International Ltd adhere to the Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drink in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2020 and it mitigates the need for purchasing new/additional machinery as the supplies offered are compatible with the current machines, therefore resulting in savings for the Council.
