1.1 The Council invites expressions of interest to tender for a contract for the design and construction of the new 2 FE 14 Class Primary School with Nursery in Tidworth,. The site is located to the north east of the Town in an area of residential expansion currently being developed by Persimmon Homes and is fully serviced.1.2 The intention is to create a new and exciting single storey primary school building. The accommodation has been scheduled using the guidance provided in DCSF Building Bulletin 99 – Briefing Framework for Primary School Projects; and the new building will be targeted to achieve an ‘Excellent' rating under BREEAM for Schools 2008 and it is anticipated will primarily be heated with biomass boilers with gas back up.1.3 The form of contract will be the JCT Design and Build Contract 2011 Latest Edition. The expected construction value will be in the region of GBP 4.5 million inclusive of external works.Access to the PQQ is automatically available to contractors who register an interest on the ProContract South West Portal.
