The main aim of this project in Denbighshire is to reduce economic inactivity and improve employment levels amongst the most disadvantaged groups through providing a range of flexible interventions to meet assessed needs.This project element is specifically targeted at people with a severe or enduring mental illness and the service will be procured. The aim will be to support people experiencing mental health problems to progress towards work readiness. Some of the key activities will include:•Undertaking detailed assessments of training and employment needs of individuals with a severe or enduring mental illness referred to the project •Intensive support regarding training opportunities and job finding for people with a severe or enduring mental illness who are economically inactive or unemployed•Encouraging and supporting employers to provide more job opportunities for people with a severe or enduring mental health illness.•Increasing volunteering opportunities for people with a severe or enduring mental illness ,who are economically inactive, as a means of helping them to move on to employment•Developing and providing a range of innovative services that help people with a severe or enduring mental illness into training or employment•Helping excluded young adults with a severe or enduring mental illness into employment by engaging mentors and one to one support work•Ensuring that there is an effective joint approach between this project element and other initiatives so that the right type of service is identified for each individual and that there is no duplication•Ensuring that individuals referred to the project fully benefit from healthier lifestyles initiatives developed under the Health Social Care and Well Being Programme• Providing individual and group social skills training to enhance people work readiness.• Providing a mental health training resource for other aspects of the main project Providers should note that this project is subject to ESF Grant Funding which requires the successful provider to provide an element of match funding for the project. This is anticipated to be in the region of 50% of the project cost. The total project cost is anticipated to be in the region of £891,294.00 over the lifetime of the agreement.The service will be provided across the whole of Denbighshire which includes semi rural and rural areas where there will be an expectation to provide the service in the medium of Welsh. Denbighshire County Council wishes to work with suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide support, training and employment opportunities for adults with mental needs.This is a Voluntary OJEU notice as the services required to deliver this project are classed as a "Part B" service as recognised under EU procurement legislation and the procurement process will follow the principles of this legislation.
