New Work Connections - Training and Education Framwork (Voluntary OJEU Notice)

The New Work Connections Project is an ESF Convergence funded project, covering the four local authority areas of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd. The funding covers a period of nearly 4 years.The project is aimed at supporting people who, through a range of disadvantages, are economically inactive or unemployed. The participants of this project will often need intensive help and support of a specialist nature to enable them to reach their full potential. This consists of informal, flexible, co-ordinated support based on individual’s needs, empowering them to break down barriers they face on a day to day basis. The project is providing intensive support and guidance with regard to pursuing training and employment opportunities for:?People facing significant challenges obtaining employment, education and training?People who have a work limiting health condition?People aged 16-18 and not in education employment or training (NEET)?People who have a learning disability or learning difficulty?Older people (over 50)?People with mental health needs?People who have a physical disability or sensory impairment ?Lone parents with mental health issues who have sole caring responsibility for a child / children and are not therefore eligible for support through other projects such as Genesis.?People who have caring responsibilities?Women who face major disadvantage in the labour market?Black Minority Ethnic (BME)An important element of the project in Denbighshire is the training and education budget to secure the procurement of a wide range of flexible, geographically spread courses at a range of accreditation levels. The intention is to create a framework of approved training providers so that the New Work Connections project can offer participants a full range of training and education opportunities. This funding will continue until February 2014.Training RequirementsA diverse range of training courses will be required for New Work Connections Participants. New Work Connections ensures a person centred approach and therefore participants individualised needs are identified on a case to case basis. Through previous experience of working with this client group, as well as an awareness and knowledge of what is available in terms of employment in the area, a number of suitable courses have already been identified.
