Descriptions

NHS Calderdale, Greater Huddersfield and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGS) intend to procure a Wheelchair service to carry out assessments and to supply and maintain wheelchairs. The service will be required to demonstrate: •A commitment to providing for the holistic needs of the service user in every aspect of service delivery (i.e. clinical lifestyle, social, educational) •Design and delivery of services that are personalised, with the service user at the heart of what they do •An ongoing expectation of quality and service improvement and innovation demonstrated by the provider(s) •Continued professional development among staff demonstrated by provider(s) •A commitment to, and evidence from the provider of excellent service user experience, and involvement •A strong commitment to partnership working with related services and the voluntary sector •A modern IT system with the ability to accurately record and track activity •A focus on value for money The service will be procured as two separate Lots: Lot 1 - Assessment for wheelchairs Lot 2 - Supply, maintenance and repair of wheelchairs Potential providers will be able to bid for one or both Lots. The contracts will be structured as 3 year contracts with two potential 12 month extension periods. Contract start date 1st October 2019
