As you are already aware, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has monitored the existing service and it would appear that having a more even spread of domiciliary providers works best in order to deliver patient care closer to home. Therefore Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is looking to commission 4 Personal Dental Service Contracts with effect from 1st June 2017 in the following areas:•Blaenau Gwent – Total Contract Value, £7,498.00•Caerphilly – Total Contract Value, £16,054.00•Newport – Total Contract Value, £16,054.00•Torfaen – Total Contract Value, £7,498.00Please be aware that there will be no ‘expressions of interest stage’. Therefore, if you feel that after reviewing the service specification you are eligible to provide this service in one of the listed areas, please access the tender documentation via eTenderwales and complete the ‘Invitation to Tender’ document. Please be aware that the closing date for returns is 4th May 2017, returns received after this date will not be considered and where no return has been made the Health Board will assume that the practice does not wish to bid.A brief summary of the contract is outlined below:•In some instances, patients will need to attend the dental practice to undergo treatment, therefore, you must operate from an accessible practice, which is compliant with the Equality Act 2010. For example, your practice must be wheelchair accessible.•The contractor will enter in to a 2 year Borough based Personal Dental Services contract with ABUHB from 1st July 2017 with a view of extending the contract after the 2 year period on a recurrent basis, dependant on performance and demand for the service.•UDA Rate - £46 per case (travel expenses are included within the inflated UDA rate)•The recommended domiciliary kit must be purchased and maintained by the practice.•Trained Dental Helpline staff managed by ABUHB Community Dental Services will assess all referrals for the DDS.
