High level functionality is to include •Application process through to appointment / placement •Competency frameworks •Training •Leave / sickness •Compensation Each Graduate has a placement managers who will need to access the system and report back to the Learning Academy and provide progress reporting. Reporting needs to show if they meet competency frameworks to pass placement The system needs to manage some variation in how different graduate cohorts are dealt with, but the approach needs to be standardised with its processes. Key requirements include : •Exam scores •Self-service •Competency attainment •Communication of key messages with grads •Publish surveys from it for grads NHSEI have looked at some other potential vendors at a high level, however work done in the past has not been focused as part of a true evaluation. Vendors reviewed in the past should be included within this market evaluation. NHSEI will provide their information for inclusion in this market evaluation NHSEI will confirm their key requirements for the new vendor/system. At a high level they want it to be able to do what the existing system does, but needs to provide additional functionality to meet existing and future business needs The key driver of this evaluation is to understand the marketplace for systems needed to support the business, with the aim to building a business case to either redevelop their existing solution or replace it with COTS one.
