The objective of the project is to construct a modern, efficient and fit for purpose indoor multi-sports facility with associated changing, showering and function facilities that will be capable of hosting at least the five sports set out in the sports development plan for the project. This objective is underpinned by a number of supporting principles. To take the project forward in a way (as far is practically possible) that. Integrates with the existing facility Takes account of the need for efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint Is aesthetically pleasing given its location and exposure to ongoing media coverage. There are 2 distinct components of the project: New build onto existing building and upgrade/extension of existing facility: New Build The construction and extensive to the existing Pavilion of an indoor multi-sports facility approx. 50 metres x 30 metres complete with storage facilities.
