NLI Cameras - Cameras for Digitisation at the National Library of Ireland

Descriptions

The National Library of Ireland (NLI) collects material through legal deposit, purchase and donation. The provision of access to all of its collections is a key strategic objective for the NLI. The NLI strives to maximise access to our collections, enabling our users to work with us in new and innovative ways. Digitisation of all NLI collection types (books, photographs, manuscripts, prints, etc.) and formats (e.g. paper, photographic negatives, analogue sound and video recordings) plays a key role in supporting this strategic objective.Having successfully pursued a digitisation programme over the last number of years the NLI now wishes to renew the cameras at the centre of its digitisation process. To do this, the NLI proposes to engage in a competitive process in order to purchase cameras appropriate for the digitisation of its collections.
