The Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) is looking to identify a lead design and technical consultancy with the appropriate experience to bid to supply it with professional services to help the Trust develop a detailed design and for the reconfiguration of the layout of the Trust's Neonatal Unit. These professional services align with Stages 3, 4 and 5 in the RIBA Plan of Work 2013. These services include: Stage 3 & 4 appointment: •Detailed Design: Architectural services to help develop the preferred scheme and produce schedules of work and detail design drawings for the tender package; •MEP services strategy arising from the preferred layout option; •Engineering - Detail MEP engineering services design; •Specification development and production of documents for tender of the contract works packages; •Design Team Lead - Initiate design team actions, co-ordinate the responses; •Cost management - Quantity Surveyor services to provide a cost plan and pre-tender cost for the proposed NNU facility; •Other technical co-ordination (i.e. engineering); •Submission of Building Regulations to either Building Control or an Approved Inspector; •Programme management (to lead the technical team).
