Non-Emergency Medical Transport Services (MTS) Market Engagement Event
Descriptions
NHS Vale of York CCG & NHS Scarborough and Ryedale CCG, wish to undertake engagement with the market around non-emergency medical transport services. We will be holding a market engagement event on Thursday 16 February 2017. The event will comprise of an overview presentation and interactive workshop sessions to better understand the view of the market as to current services and potential future provision. Organisations will be able to discuss and share their experiences of the service, best practice and scope for improvement and innovation. Commissioners will value the views of potential providers at this stage to help shape the future approach and ensure that services meet the requirements and needs of patients. Following on from the event we may then wish for any interested provider organisations to attend specific clinical workshops to further inform the future service specification. The event will be held at NHS Vale of York CCG, Snow Room, West Offices, Station Rise, York YO1 6GA on Thursday 16 February 2016. There will be two sessions on that day; 9:30 am - 12 noon and 13:00pm - 15:30pm. This invitation is open to all organisations including public, private, SME's (Small and Medium sized Enterprises), voluntary sector organisations, social enterprises, etc. who have an interest in all or aspects of this service. Attendance is limited to 3 delegates per organisation and all people wishing to attend must register by Wednesday 8 February 2017. To register a place on the event please email isobel.winterson@nhs.net and indicate which of the sessions you wish to attend (either am or pm). Here are some of the high level discussion areas that will be covered : •What should a successful non-emergency medical transport system look like, what are the challenges and how could these be overcome? •What technological innovations could be applied to this service to improve communications and the overall patient experience? •What transport solutions could be utilised for this service to ensure a flexible, cost-effective and high quality patient centred service? •How can the eligibility criteria be robustly applied whilst ensuring alternative solutions are offered to the patients that are not eligible for transport? •How would you identify and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure an integrated and efficient service that minimises duplication and gaps in provision? •If this service were to be procured, would it be advantageous to separate into lots, and if so what would the specific lots look like, e.g geographical split. If you can't attend on that day but wish for your views to be considered, then please email your thoughts to isobel.winterson@nhs.net by Wednesday 8 February 2017. This event is not part of any prequalification or selection process and is intended as an awareness, communication and information gathering exercise in the first instance.
