NEPTS SBUHB Renal & Discharge ServicesThe Welsh ambulance Service Trust (WAST) is seeking to award a contract or contracts to provide a patient discharge/transfer transport service for patients in suitable specified vehicles able to accommodate patients of varying degrees of mobility (including ambulant, wheelchair, stretcher and bariatric patients) to and from hospitals in the Swansea Bay University Health Board Region from addresses within Wales (predominantly the South Wales area). Vehicles must be manned by staff who are a qualified first aider to a minimum standard of Health and Safety four day First Aid at Work course.The contract will initially be for (2) two years with an option to extend at the Health Boards discretion for a further (12) twelve months. Transport providers must remain fully compliant at all times and ensure that they undergo quality assurance inspections in line with the Service Specification which is available on request.In line with The Well-Being for Future Generations Act 2015 greater consideration will be given to providers that can evidence they will deliver additional value for money on a whole life basis in terms of generation benefits to the organisation, but also to society and the economy, such as the provision of physical assets, services or facilities that can be used for the benefit of our communities.
