This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and Request for Information (RFI) published on behalf of NHS North Kirklees CCG and NHS Wakefield CCG. The purpose of this PIN/RFI is to gauge market interest in the delivery of referral support services that respond to a locally developed model for 4 Dimensions of referral support systems The commissioners are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to further inform their plans to deliver a comprehensive referral support service. Locally the commissioners have developed a whole system approach for referral support consisting of 4 dimensions: 1.Care Pathways including referral guidance and held in one accessible repository (website) (Note: this dimension is already in place and is described here for purposes of illustrating the complete 4D model) 2.A technology solution 'gateway' to support the electronic filtering of referrals providing a standardised approach, contemporaneous data collection and referral tracking 3.A Referral Support Service, providing administrative functions of filtering referrals to criteria within commissioning policies and patient contact for quality choice discussions resulting in an eRS booking 4.Peer and Specialist Reviewers, providing localised clinical review to selected referrals This Request for Information relates to dimension 2, 3 & 4 as above. The service will ensure provision of high quality services to a population of 540,000, across 2 CCGs who predominantly refer into one Acute Hospital Trust.
