Welsh Government is working with the North Wales Economic Ambition Board to develop a Strategic Outline Business Case for electrification of the North Wales coast main line between Holyhead and Warrington/ Crewe for submission in early 2016. The work programme associated with developing the business case requires involves to communicateing progress to stakeholders across all sectors, obtaining stakeholder’s input on an as and when basis, and build support for securing investment in Control Period 6 (2019-24) to allow electrification to proceed.Welsh Government is considering procuring support from a communications company with strong specialism in transport, and leading expertise in rail, to deliver the communication strategy.The support would include:•Advising Welsh Government and North Wales Economic Ambition Board on their communication strategy•Assist with delivering stakeholder engagement strategy••Advising on investment opportunities, securing support for the campaign to press the case for funding, and influencing funding announcements••Input into the work of the National Infrastructure Commission and Network Rail’s Investment Plans.•Working with cross border partners to bring a joined up approach to the project and to capitalise on the Trans European aspect of the corridor•Raising the profile and securing media interest in the case for electrification•Organising and facilitating briefing sessions and developing messages for use in briefing sessions and campaigns•Influencing policy developmentsSuppliers will ideally need to have experience in. understanding of the rail industry, public funding and business case development•Securing support and investment for rail infrastructure projects•influencing at all levels•engaging with sector, industry specialists and elected representatives at a local regional and national level.•Leading campaigns resulting in positive outcomes from a funding perspective•Influencing infrastructure funding decisions•Effective approach to public affairs within the transport arena.Suppliers need to have experience in•understanding of the rail industry, public funding and business case development•Securing support and investment for rail infrastructure projects•influencing at all levels•engaging with sector, industry specialists and elected representatives at a local regional and national level.•Leading campaigns resulting in positive outcomes from a funding perspective•Influencing infrastructure funding decisions•Effective approach to public affairs within the transport arena.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at http://www.sell2wales.gov.uk/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=38216.
