NORTHERN IRELAND FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE TERM SERVICE CONTRACTS 2025 (RE-ISSUE)

Descriptions

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service(NIFRS) is seeking to appoint four Economic Operators to enter intoframework agreements and Term Service Contracts for the provisionof building maintenance, planned/preventative maintenance and minorworks which may incorporate mechanical and electrical works,building services, construction, civil engineering, roofing,joinery, flooring, window and door repairs, painting, glazing worksand other specialist works including appliance room doormaintenance and servicing. The Economic Operators shall have theresources in place to attend any works required 24 hours per day,365 days per year (366 days in a leap year) (including all holidaysand weekends). They shall have significant flexibility and readilyavailable multi-disciplinary resources to provide the contractingAuthority with a rapid response and an ability to deal withemergency type works. The contract will be in place for a period oftwo years. The Contracting Authority has at its discretion theoption to extend for a further one year period plus an additionalone year period (2 year + 1 + 1), subject to demonstrablesatisfactory performance by the Economic Operator within the termsand conditions stated in the Invitation to Tender documentation.The Contracting Authority is not under any obligation to award anycall off contracts under the Framework Agreement. The ContractingAuthority is not responsible for meeting any costs incurred by theEconomic Operator should the value of any call off contractsawarded under the Framework Agreement fall short of EconomicOperators’ expectations. The Contracting Authority reserves theright at any time to procure similar or identical work outside theFramework Agreement.
