THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITIONStaffordshire County Council (SCC) has identified a need for two 80 bed high quality Nursing care homes in the districts of Lichfield and Tamworth. SCC are considering the feasibility of building two new homes and commissioning an experienced Care Home Provider (with nursing) to manage, run and staff the two SCC owned care homes.SCC have identified sites in Lichfield and Tamworth which could be used for Care Homes with Nursing. SCC would like to gauge market interest in delivering the care with nursing provision, for one or both of the Council owned care homes, this will include the management and staff to deliver good quality nursing care on behalf of SCC, in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements. It is intended that these services will allow SCC to achieve cost effective placements for individuals with nursing needs and also improve SCCs ability to place efficiently.The estimate timescale for the opening of the homes is June 2028.
