Descriptions
Northumbrian Water Limited (NWL) opeate a number of major estuarial and coastal sewerage works. Of these Billingham, Bran Sands, Hendon, Howdon, Marske and Seaton Carew operate ultra-violet disinfection equipment (tertiary treatment) brought into operational use during 2002/03. NWL are looking for a supplier of UV Lamps and associated spare parts to support the maintenance and efficient operation of the current UV systems. Any spares (i.e. lamps/ballast cards) proposed will need to be OEM equipment or equivalent that EN Standard form 05 - Contract notice – utilities 4 / 15 will operate with the manufacturers equipment currently installed. Where alternatives to the manufacturers equipmnent are proposed NWL reserve the right to undertake trials to establish compatibility and performance.
