NWL0141 Provision of Self-Care and Social Prescribing services for communities in North Kensington

Descriptions

NHS NW London ICB requires the provision of Healthier Futures Self-Care & Social Prescribing services for communities in the North Kensington (NK) area from 1st April 2023 to 30th June 2023. The overall aim is to provide people in NK with access to locally provided, culturally specific services that are tailored to the self-care needs of local communities, to improve health & wellbeing in the ongoing recovery from the Grenfell tower fire. The service is currently being delivered by Kensington & Chelsea Social Council (KCSC). The ICB is under the impression that KCSC is the only capable provider for the 3 month period in the restricted total budget of £98,750. The ICB seeks to be transparent in its intention to award the contract to KCSC. Key requirements: -Commissioning local Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) to provide self-care services to address specific self-care needs identified. -Establishing & managing contracts with organisations chosen to deliver services. -Undertake collaboration & engagement with the local community to ensure changing needs are reflected in service design & provision. -Supporting & training providers to develop their capacity & sustainability. -Design, oversee & iterate pathways into self-care services commissioned, working with communities & partner organisations. -Ensure provision of additional social prescribing link worker roles to manage referral processes. -Manage & grow a network of voluntary & community organisations in NK. From 1st July 2023, NHS NWL is planning to implement a 'strategic partner' model for the provision of physical & emotional self care & wellbeing services in the 'Bi-Borough' area (Westminster & Kensington & Chelsea). The Strategic Partner would be responsible for managing the distribution of funding to local voluntary & community groups in the Bi-Borough, overseeing service delivery & sub-contractor relations with local VCS providing services. Through the below link, the provider is expected to demonstrate existing, well developed, relationships with local community & voluntary organisations, GP practices & Primary Care Networks, other NHS providers offering services in the area, as well as the relevant local authorities & other providers & systems working to address those affected by the Grenfell tower fire. The provider must demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of local communities & evidence the ability to collaborate engagement with local people. The ICB is committed to assess the needs of the service users & consider how (if relevant) it needs to secure the needs of the people who use the services, & improve the quality & efficiency in the provision of the services including through the services being provided in an integrated way. Capable providers may come forward by 17:00 on 24th February 2023. In your response to this opportunity, demonstrate capacity & capability to deliver this service via: https://airtable.com/shr52NBGIuyGSsvoY
