Occupational Health Services (Medicals) - Preliminary Market Engagement (Stage 2) - Supplier Meeting

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service (DSFRS) wishes to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the occupational health services market (medical services in particular). Medical services includes - a) Medical questionnaires, screening, surveillance and examinations, b) Management referrals, c) Medical advice, d) Ill-Health Retirement An initial stage of preliminary market engagement (PME) has been carried out, with suppliers asked to complete and return a supplier questionnaire. The closing date for this stage was 1st April 2025 (extended from the original date of 27th March 2025) and the Find A Tender Notice Identifier is 2025/S 000-007862 This advert is to invite suppliers to a second stage of PME - A Teams Meeting with key staff involved in the procurement and contract management of medicals within DSFRS. Suppliers are able to request a meeting by emailing Bridget Phillips, Category Manager (Procurement) - bphillips@dsfire.gov.uk by Wednesday 30th April 2025. There are six Teams Meeting slots (one hour each) available and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The available slots are: 1. Thursday 8th May - 9.30am 2. Thursday 8th May - 11am 3. Thursday 15th May - 11am 4. Thursday 22nd May - 9.30am 5. Thursday 22nd May - 11am 6. Thursday 22nd May - 2pm Whilst not essential, it would be useful if a representative with clinical knowledge could attend the meeting. The number of supplier attendees is capped at three. Suppliers who completed and returned a questionnaire by the deadline have already been provided with a Teams meeting slot. The supplier questionnaire includes - Indicative scope and high-level requirements, background information, staff volumes, geography, indicative medicals demand data, current service delivery approach and core issues and opportunities for improvement. Whilst the deadline to complete the questions section is complete, Suppliers can request a copy of the questionnaire to have sight of this information by emailing Bridget (contact email provided above). To ensure that there is no competitive advantage or distortion of competition as a result of PME, all key findings, relevant information gained and/or outcomes will be shared with the market. Best practice guidance recommends this information is shared within the tender notice or tender documentation. This information may also be shared with other Public Sector Contracting Authorities. DSFRS may share information provided by your organisation but will not link that to your organisation. DSFRS may include the number of suppliers who participated but not their names (with the exception of any internal documents and information shared with other Public Sector Contracting Authorities).
