The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), part of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), is an appointed market surveillance authority, responsible for (via the Secretary of State) enforcing the General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) within the UK. Further detail of the testing standards are set out below: EN 62368-1:2014+A11:2017 Labelling assessment -Visual check according to regulation oReg 6 &39 CE (or UKCA mark) oReg 8 Type, batch or serial number oReg 8 Manufacturer name, trade name or trademark oReg 8 manufacturer address oReg18 Importer's name, trade name or trade mark oReg 18 Importer's UK/EU address Safety testing -Clause 5.3: Protection against electrical energy sources -Clause 5.4.9: Electric strength (without humidity conditioning) -Clause 5.4.2 and 5.4.3: Measurement of creepage distances and clearances The test methods applied should follow designated standards; the reference numbers of which have been published on www.gov.uk, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which considers the recognised state of the art.
