Online Database Provider for the Provision of Grants and Policy Information

The Council currently subscribes to the online Idox Grantfinder searchable database solution for EU and UK Government grants and loans, charitable trusts and corporate sponsors. The Council requires the same online subscription service going forward for the next three years.The online database will need to provide the Council with a online search function of several thousand sources, which will help the Council be able to identify potential sources of financial support for local initiatives and projects.The online search function will need to allow details to be inputted into the online database in terms of the type of organisation leading on the project, type of activity, sector of activity, geographical limitation and who will benefit. The online search functionality will also need to allow users to search using key words or phrases. The results of the online searches via the database will need to be pulled together into reports and will need to also be ordered in terms of whether they are live, dormant or whether bidding deadlines are imminent.Each online search conducted will need to be saved, to allow users to build up an archive and be able to refer back. The online service will need to be able to automatically run searches periodically in order to capture information on new and emerging schemes.In addition to undertaking online searches, the online service will also need to send regular e-mail updates on new funding opportunities as they emerge as well as focusing on specific opportunities emerging for the public sector. The e-mail updates will need to be filtered by a range of criteria, for individuals to manage the number of updates that would be received.The online subscription with need to provide online access to the database including for telephone support and access to occasional training events.
