Descriptions
The social care (self-directed support) Scotland Act places a duty on local authority social work departments to offer people who are eligible for social care, a range of choices over how they receive their social care and support. This contract involves option 2: funding is allocated to a provider of choice and option 3: the Council can select and arrange appropriate support on behalf of the eligible person and option 4 where applicable. We will be implementing an open and flexible framework for providers of support to disabled children and their families.
