The information sessions will aim to give participants a broad view on energy use, possibilities for energy reduction, and grants available. They will also be invited to sign up, giving details of their own energy related queries for the follow- up more detailed workshop.The workshops will encompass specific information related to home/community/SME retrofitting from conservation to installation of new technologies.Individual advice can be followed by a visit to people’s residences/buildings if requested. Information Sessions: Information sessions of 1/1.5 hours will be held in 9 locations: Listowel, Tralee, Castleisland, Dingle, Caherciveen, Kenmare, Tarbert, Killarney, Killorglin. Participants will be invited to sign up for a follow on Workshop, indicating specific information needed.Workshops: The training will potentially involve a series of 9 workshops held in locations as above (subject to interest).The workshop will cover: general and specific ways to reduce energy use/ what renewable energy measures would be suitable for them including what grants/funding etc might be available. Individual Advice: Following the group workshop, the trainer can visit workshop participants in their homes/community/SME and provide more individualised information and support. The trainer would work/support them to explore their possible options including the accessing of relevant grants.
