Descriptions

The Council engages temporary employees provided by a suitable contracted agency. This agency is required to:— Provide a managed service; ascertain the numbers of temporary employees required on a daily basis, and ensure that suitably experienced and skilled individuals are available and engaged at the appropriate time and location.— Training the temporary employees; include a range of health and safety training appropriate to the role being undertaken and include a site induction.— Undertake and maintain risk assessment.— Provide Personal Protective Equipment.— Transport temporary employees to the employment locations.The temporary employees required will include: HGV and LGV drivers, refuse and recycling collection loaders, street cleansing and grounds maintenance operatives, mower/tractor drivers, weed spraying/ripping operatives, and general unskilled operatives. Other requirements may occasionally arise. The requirement varies and there is no guaranteed level of work.
