NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin (NHS STW) has commenced a programme of work to review and redesign eye care services, and we are delighted to be able to continue to work with the independent sector providers who have engaged with us on the journey so far.This is the 2nd PIN relating to the NHS STW Ophthalmology Service Transformation, the previous PIN reference was 2022-040417 and issued February 2022. The purpose of issuing a 2nd PIN is to widen the opportunity for Providers to engage that missed the previous opportunity.NHS STW would like to extend this opportunity to any additional organisations who are interested in becoming involved in this programme of work to help review, shape and design the best possible pathways and service processes for eye care patients within the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Locality.The work of the programme has included a number of engagement sessions with Independent Sector providers, as well as patients and public, and other clinical stakeholders, the outputs of which have assisted in shaping the redesign work to date. Your contribution to future engagement workshops, will continue to inform the redesign work and future commissioning options that may be developed.
