Descriptions
To demolish existing temporary homeless accommodation and replace with a new 39 unit hostel, designed and built through modular or off-site construction. This is to minimise the time between the demolition of the existing accommodation and completion of the new hostel. The hostel must provide a range of 1, 2 and 3 bed en suite accommodation, and flexible spaces to include office space, meeting rooms, and training kitchens. Key consideration will be given to quality, flexibility of design and speed of construction. The contractor will lead the design and planning process working with the council to meet its requirements. Bidders will also have the option to submit proposals to build 18-24 new council apartments on the remainder of the site.
