We are looking for an Outreach and Engagment Consultant to help with the development of the People Engagement Element of a Species Recovery Project and Stage One National Lottery Heritage Fund Bid.Back from the Brink Cymru (current working title) is a Wales wide species recovery project, being developed by a partnership of nine eNGO’s plus Natural Resources Wales. NRW are the lead partner and the partnership comprises:Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust Marine Conservation SocietyBat Conservation Trust Natural Resources WalesBuglife PlantlifeBumblebee Conservation Trust RSPBButterfly Conservation Vincent Wildlife TrustThe partnership is developing what will be the largest multi-taxa conservation project in Wales to save our most threatened species, aiming to submit a stage 1 application to National Lottery Heritage Fund in Nov 2020 (circa £5m project; 1 year development phase, 4 year delivery). BftB Cymru will take an integrated, cross-taxa approach. Partners have begun to identify the project’s target species, focusing on those under greatest threat and where the required recovery actions can be implemented within the project timeframe. The project will be Wales wide but work will be focussed in a selection of priority landscape areas. The partnership and programme of species conservation will be developed on a scale not previously achieved in Wales. The multi-taxa, integrated management approach will facilitate news ways of working. Drawing together a series of geographically distinct projects into one programme enables an efficiency of scale and impact, particularly in coordinating engagement and well-being activities.On behalf of the BftB Cymru partnership, Plantlife are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced consultant to support the development of the people engagement element of the project and stage one NLHF bid.The work undertaken will compliment and inform a parallel contract being let at the same time to support the development of the conservation element of the project.Full details of the specification and how to submit your proposal are in the attached Request for Quotation.
