STAR procurement on behalf of Rochdale Council and Salford Council ("the Councils") are looking to appoint an Owners Engineer to provide project management resource and to oversee and advise on all technical and regulatory aspects of the building and commissioning of the proposed solar farms at Chamber House (Rochdale) and Little Hulton (Salford), which have estimated budgets of £4,700,000 (four million seven hundred thousand pounds sterling) excluding VAT and £2,200,000 (two million two hundred thousand pounds) excluding VAT respectively and for which planning permission has been granted. Details of the projects accompany this procurement. r It is anticipated, but the Service Provider shall confirm, that this work will take place in three broad phases:r 1. Procurement of contractors - supporting the Council to appoint the necessary supplier(s) to deliver the project,r 2. Construction - providing project management support and technical oversight of delivery contractor(s), andr 3.
